In the period from July 25 to August 1, 2023, in Prizren (Kosovo), a summer youth SMART camp will be held.
The participants of the summer youth camp are young people (42), 15 to 19 years old from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia.
The goal of the summer youth camp is to build capacity for the preparation and implementation of civic initiatives that young people will implement at the local and regional level after the camp in the period from November 2023 to April 2024, on the topic of digital literacy, i.e. the fight against fake news.
Capacity building of camp participants will be enabled through interactive and experiential work through three main topics:
1) Digital literacy and the fight against fake news;
2) Project management – problem/need identification, community mobilization), partnership building and advocacy.
3) Regional awareness campaign
The summer youth camp is organized within the project “Giving and receiving – young active citizens for peace and prosperity”.
The project “Giving and receiving- young active citizens for peace and prosperity” is implemented by the International Association “Interactive Open Schools” (MIOS) Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with partner organizations, Organizata Kosovare për Talent dhe Arsim (TOKA), Kosovo and Forum youth and non-formal education (MNE Forum), Montenegro.
