Significant Improvement in Public Awareness of Sustainable Gender Equality Concepts in 10 Cities Across 5 Regions of Serbia

Citizens, representatives of marginalized groups, and key stakeholders—including civil society organizations (CSOs) and local authorities—often lack adequate information about legal obligations and the implementation of gender equality initiatives. To address this critical gap, we initiated a series of public information activities aimed at raising awareness on the issue.

The stakeholders and beneficiaries of this effort included designers and journalists from a regional TV station, who played a vital role in enhancing our informational outreach through their collaboration with the project team. Additionally, national experts on gender equality and non-discrimination, along with local activists and employees from local self-governments, were actively engaged in the production of the informative television program, ensuring a comprehensive approach to disseminating crucial information.

Public information products will be available on the organization’s website, offering valuable resources for civil society organizations (CSOs) engaged in informational activities. These materials will support CSOs in their ongoing efforts to promote and advocate for the establishment of gender-responsive policies at the local level, thereby empowering them to drive meaningful change within their communities.
