The Youth Activist Club

Recognizing the potential of young voices in driving social change, the activist center GRAD has proudly established the Youth Activist Club. This initiative is a response to the pressing need for a platform where young people can engage with and address critical community issues, such as environmental protection, human rights, and education.

After months of careful preparation and interviews, a dynamic team of fifteen enthusiastic individuals was selected to spearhead the club’s activities. Guided by the GRAD team, this new collective will serve as a vibrant hub for discussions, education, and tangible actions aimed at fostering positive community change.

The Youth Activist Club not only empowers its members to express their ideas and take action but also creates a supportive environment that encourages collaboration among young people in Smederevo. As the club moves forward, it plans to expand its membership, ensuring that even more voices are heard and valued.

Brankica Marjanović, one of the club’s leaders, shared her enthusiasm: “Leading a Youth Club is a great new experience since this is the first time that our young people have the way of speaking up and making actions the way they want to.” This sentiment echoes the organization’s commitment to nurturing youth leadership and activism.

As the school year begins, the Youth Activist Club stands ready to evolve, driven by the interests and needs of its members, proving that when young people come together, they can inspire meaningful change in their communities.
