Summary of the project implemented by Udruženje građana Centar za obrazovne inicijative Step by Step
Through 6 original professional development training programs for teachers, the largest regional conference for educators, a platform for the exchange of didactic materials, methods and strategies, an award for innovative teachers, a podcast about education and support for reform processes, the Center with its comprehensive program acts strategically in the field of education with the aim of creating quality education for every child. Through this project, the Center plans to increase the number of teachers who will participate in professional development training centers, create an enriched training portfolio, certify new teachers who conduct training throughout BiH, expand the offer of didactic materials through its publications as well as the inskola.com platform, promote new innovative teaching methods and provide support in educational reform processes in two cantons in the Federation, as well as in the Republika Srpska.

- Specific objectives
- Provide a unique and comprehensive system of professional training and support for the development of innovations for teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels of education as a prerequisite for the development of a participatory democratic society based on respect for rights, understanding, peace and universal human values
- Provide a unique space/platform for the exchange, creation and promotion of quality teaching practices and educational and didactic materials; networking of teachers at all levels of upbringing and education; initiation of advocacy processes and participation of teachers in decision-making processes
Beneficiaries
Teachers at all levels of education, students, parents, wider community, educational institutions.
Main activities
- Conduct professional development trainings (School of Critical Thinking, School of Values, Child-Centered Methodology, Education for Social Justice, Professional Learning Communities, ISSA Quality Practice Standards)
- Choose, award and promote new innovative teaching methods through the Award for Innovative Teachers
- Realize a Regional conference of educators with participants from all spheres of education on the topic of peace pedagogy
- Implement interventions in agreement with the Ministries of Education of the Republic of Srpska and HNK as part of supporting education reforms
- To produce the podcast Besjede o obrazovanju
