Summary of the project implemented by CROA

The project aims to ensure greater involvement of civil society organizations in decision-making processes at the local level, as well as the involvement of young people by providing them with a stimulating environment to develop social responsibility and leadership, which will influence changes in attitudes and overcome prejudices, empowerment and strengthen partnerships between them. By involving 10 civil society organizations and 100 young people from the Sarajevo Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, West Herzegovina County and Republika Srpska, CROA will empower them to be active in their communities. CSOs and young people will be empowered to act in local communities, involved in initiatives at the local level that will deal with solving problems in the community. Public advocacy skills as the foundation of civic activism are very important for young activists so that they can advocate and lobby for initiatives that will come from themselves, and which can advocate for the improvement of the position of young people in society within the selected areas. Youth meetings through training activities and joint actions of volunteering, advocacy, and presentation of the Platform for the Improvement of the Position of Youth, increase interaction among project participants in a way that the connections created during project activities are strengthened and maintained, which contributes to the project goals, which are strengthening understanding among young people about different narratives of the project as well as building cooperation among young people from BiH. Through local youth initiatives, project participants vocalize the needs of young people and through public advocacy actively engage in solving specific problems that young people in BiH face.
