Mapping Quarries for the Sustainability of Natural Resources and the Safety of Local Communities

Summary of the project implemented by UG Fojničani

The project aims to improve the management of natural resources and the safety of local communities through mapping quarries in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By identifying and verifying data on quarry status, concessions, ownership, and their environmental impact, while involving citizens, CSOs, and the media in monitoring, quarry operations’ transparency will be ensured. The development of an interactive digital platform and advocacy for legal changes will contribute to more efficient and responsible management and improved safety for citizens in numerous local communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
