Improved Youth Awareness and Engagement in Local Decision-Making Processes in Kruševac, Varvarin, and Ćićevac

Through previous projects and ongoing collaboration with young people in our daily organizational activities, we identified key needs within the community. The primary beneficiaries of this result are young people from three municipalities: Kruševac, Varvarin, and Ćićevac.

Our organization’s commitment to addressing the needs of young people has fostered trust and collaboration, leading to increased youth engagement in civil society organizations and informal groups. By leveraging established connections, we developed initiatives that promote local-level participation, resulting in improved awareness and active involvement among young people in community decision-making.

The activities undertaken within this project demonstrated that young people are highly interested in active participation in local community decision-making processes. Their strongest interests lie in environmental and humanitarian activism, as well as cultural initiatives, with comparatively less interest observed in political engagement.

They believe that through collective action and commitment, they can help build a community that is more engaged, resilient, and empowered.
