In an innovative effort to reduce waste and enrich urban gardens, the “Feed the Earth: Urban Composting for Beginners” project has brought sustainable practices to local communities in Vojvodina. The project developed a step-by-step Urban Composting Guide to help residents set up and maintain a composting system with simple materials like wooden pallets and cable ties. This guide enables residents to turn organic waste into nutrient-rich compost, offering an affordable and eco-friendly solution for waste management.
The project also provided composters to the community, sharing practical composting knowledge and creating a foundation for lasting change. Through this initiative, participants gained tools to reduce household waste and produce organic fertilizer, which directly supports a healthier environment and a more resilient community.
“Feed the Earth” has inspired people to adopt urban composting, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability at the grassroots level.
