Corruption Free Universities in Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia

Summary of the project

ISIE in cooperation with IDRA and CESID will implement a 20 – month project aimed at strengthening capacities of universities, student organizations and students for corruption prevention at the universities in Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia. Through diverse set of activities including preparation Joint Report on corruption perception, organization of roundtables, capacity building seminars, summer school and development of virtual assistant (chatbot) digital software, the project will boost a corruption prevention enabling environment in the field of higher education in the targeted countries of the Western Balkans.

Project goals

To promote rule of law, provide effective administration of justice and prevent corruption among students and university employees in the higher education of Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Target groups and beneficiaries

  • activists, non-formal groups, student organizations’ representatives;
  • public university administration and management;
  • civil society representatives;
  • other competent stakeholders.

Main activities

  • Preparation of Joint Report on corruption perception and assessment of corruption prevention;
  • Preparation Corruption Prevention Guide, Policy Brief and Toolkit of relevant best practices;
  • Organization of 3 roundtables and 6 capacity building seminars;
  • Organization of summer school for students and activists;
  • Organization of working breakfast for MPs;
  • Development of project website and virtual assistant (chatbot) digital software;
  • Organization of a final conference.
