Connecting and Educating Youth Across Serbia

The recent project has successfully connected and educated up to 20 young people from diverse regions of Serbia, highlighting their crucial role in addressing and preventing violent extremism. Recognizing that youth often lack the resources and connections necessary to effect change, the initiative organized an engaging event that brought together young leaders and local organizations. This platform not only informed participants about the realities and risks of violent extremism but also equipped them with the tools and networks to create positive change within their communities.

The seminar held in Zlatibor serves as a catalyst for ongoing youth engagement against violent extremism. By fostering a network of informed individuals, the project empowers participants to implement practical solutions in their local contexts. Beyond the seminar, mentorship and financial support will ensure that these young leaders can effectively translate their knowledge into follow-up initiatives, sustaining dialogue and contributing actively to awareness and prevention efforts. As one team member noted, “By connecting young leaders, we’re laying the groundwork for future community resilience and growth.” This initiative not only instills a culture of proactive action among participants but also extends its impact to broader societal levels, embodying the belief that “working with youth can be challenging, but the rewards of witnessing their growth make every effort worthwhile.” Through these efforts, the project is paving the way for a more resilient and engaged youth population across Serbia.
