Goal of the intervention: Co-financing of the Conference
Expected results
Bosnia and Herzegovina need to improve the system that will enable the respect and enjoyment of human rights, the rule of law, democratic integration processes, which will certainly be improved by the gradual accession of BiH to the European Union. VKBI believes that there are healthy forces in the Republic of Croatia that truly want to help Bosnia and Herzegovina, all its peoples and citizens in the aforementioned processes.
The benefits of the Conference will be delivered to all citizens in the areas identified by the EU delegation, international organizations, and individual institutes as key problems of the democratization of BiH – the area of human rights, the rule of law, civil rights and freedoms, integration processes that are a prerequisite for the economic and educational system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As a result, VKBI expects the establishment of a permanent framework of cooperation through the establishment of the Forum of Social Cooperation of BiH and Croatia. Improving relations between civil society and the academic community of boath countries which are important for Bosnia and Herzegovina Euro-Atlantic integration process.

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the areas of improving the rule of law, security and stability above all, and human rights and freedoms
Problem description
Bosnia and Herzegovina society is burdened by war traumas, the absence of the rule of law and the unprincipled actions of Croatian institutions in the constitutional legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is especially important to emphasize the current moment, because the European Union has give candidacy status to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is quite clear that Croatia’s role as an EU member will be extremely important.
Even without this fact, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have the longest border and a historical context of connection that should produce cooperation, trust and common progress, both of the states and of the peoples living in our countries. Unfortunately, in the past period, we did not build the necessary communication channels even at the level of cooperation between civil society organizations, the academic community and public figures. In this context, VKBI with partner organizations wants to initiate the necessary cooperation between BiH and Croatia by holding a mini-conference. Due to the sponsor’s untimely response, the intervention refers to the co-financing of part of the costs.
