Social Inclusion for Development, Workshop

As part of the project “Legal Education for the Citizens of Lezhë within the 2014 Administrative-Territorial Reform,” the second workshop focused on the “Functions and Competencies of Local Government Institutions.” This workshop brought together young people and women from the Kallmet Administrative Unit, including beneficiaries from Rraboshta and neighboring areas, as well as residents of Lezhë city.

The workshop was structured into two main sections:

  1. Overview of the 2014 Administrative-Territorial Reform: This section provided an in-depth explanation of the legislative framework established by the 2014 reform, which aimed to streamline local governance by reorganizing administrative boundaries and redistributing powers.
  2. Functions and Competencies of Local Government Institutions: The second part delved into the specific roles and responsibilities of local government institutions. It covered the legal obligations these institutions have, including the range of services they are required to provide to their citizens. This segment emphasized the importance of these services and how they impact the community.
