Today, our grant officer, Bojana Krstevska, participated in a roundtable discussion organized by Housing and Tenants Organization, one of our local initiative grant recipients.
Bojana expressed her satisfaction with the positive outcomes and objectives achieved through the supported project. Additionally, she shared the upcoming plans within the SMART Balkans project. This includes the upcoming grant cycle for National Interventions, Local Initiatives, Creative Box, and Media Grants, scheduled for the end of December.
The event focused on presenting an overview of the project’s implementation process, sharing insights, and discussing recommendations derived from youth workshops on adequate housing.
A notable result of these workshops is the development of a Handbook for active youth participation in decision-making processes related to adequate housing, which is available here: Handbook for active participation of young people in decision-making processes about adequate housing
We advocate for increased social engagement by young people to address the challenges they face, especially in terms of housing, acknowledging their vulnerability to costs and unemployment.
