The event began with an Orientation Session, where Mentor Vrajolli and the facilitators introduced themselves and outlined the program’s objectives, themes, and expected outcomes. Participants engaged in small group discussions to share their motivations and specific interests for the program. This was followed by a review of the full agenda, highlighting key sessions and activities, with an open Q&A session addressing any questions or concerns.
On Day 2, the first session focused on the KCSS Strategic Plan for 2024-2028. Mentor Vrajolli provided an overview of the organization’s mission, vision, and core values, along with the strategic objectives and expected impact for the coming years. The session also covered several key programs, including the Integrity & Rule of Law Programme, the P/CVE Programme, and the Gender Peace & Security Programme, which focus on issues like transparency, legal reforms, community resilience, and gender-sensitive policies.
Following a coffee break, the next session involved training on Internal and Communication Tools, facilitated by Ramadan Ilazi. This session introduced participants to various communication platforms such as Slack, Teams, and Google Workspace. Best practices for internal collaboration, message organization, and document sharing were covered, with a focus on using Google Docs and Sheets for collaborative work.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Project Management Tools and activity tracking. Participants learned how to use tools like Asana and Trello to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. The session also addressed data security and confidentiality, ensuring participants understood how to protect sensitive information.
On Day 3, the first session focused on Developing Concept Notes, again led by Mentor Vrajolli. Participants learned the key elements of a concept note, including objectives, problem statements, and methodology, with a focus on aligning proposals with donor priorities. The session included brainstorming activities to generate project ideas, dividing tasks for drafting, and establishing timelines for completion.
The final session of the event focused on Effective Project Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), facilitated by Adelina Hasani. Participants gained an understanding of M&E principles, including how to define measurable indicators of success, collect baseline data, and analyze results. The session also emphasized how M&E findings could be used to improve projects and generate impactful reports for donors.
The event concluded with participants departing, having acquired valuable skills and insights to enhance their future projects and work.
