During the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the Gender-Based Violence Center and the Municipality of Tirana organized a joint activity to inform and raise awareness among students at Albanian University about the importance of gender equality and youth involvement against gender-based violence. The youth extensively discussed the current situation regarding the respect for women’s rights in Albania, focusing on the legal protection of domestic violence victims and support services for women and girls in the Municipality of Tirana. This demonstrates that the project has served to establish new modalities of cooperation between the Gender-Based Violence Center and the Municipality of Tirana, specifically for informing and raising public awareness about gender-based violence.
