In the period from October 9 to October 12, COI Step by Step conducting a four-day basic training of the Step by Step methodology “A child-centered approach: Kindergartens that promote democracy” for its expert team and new staff.
Zorica Trikić and Aljoša Rudaš from the International Step by Step Association (ISSA) explained the methodology that included the following elements:
- The importance of high-quality education and upbringing at an early age,
- Building a common understanding,
- Involvement and respect of family and community as competent participants,
- Inclusion, diversity and democratic values,
- Teaching strategies.
The training “A child-centered approach: Kindergartens that promote democracy” was implemented with the support of the SMART Balkans project.
