Project “Family medicine for family” workshop
EKO EHO Center for Education and Promotion of Healthy Life organizes the second workshop within the “Family medicine for family” project supported by the SMART Balkans Local Initiatives grant line.
The workshops are intended for health workers who carry out mental health screening of pregnant women and women in labor and aim to empower them and provide additional education. Through workshops, EKO EHO wants to provide them with the necessary support, bearing in mind that they do not have enough information about the issue itself and that this is a completely new obligation for which they are not additionally prepared. At the same time, the topic is very sensitive and it is about an extremely vulnerable population consisting of mothers and pregnant women overwhelmed by numerous fears and doubts.
On the other hand, the conditions in which doctors work are challenging and difficult, family doctors have a large number of patients and crowds in front of clinics. Daily routine and the stress level of this profession is extremely high. That’s why, in addition to education, at the workshops EKO EHO will also deal with support, i.e. the burnout syndrome.
