Scientific-research Camp/BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH AT OZREN

Citizens’ Association Fojničani, Network for Nature Protection in BiH and local civil society organizations from Petrovo and Doboj are starting research on the biodiversity of Mountain Ozren, including the Megara cave complex located on the entity line between Maglaj and Doboj. As part of the scientific-research camp from August 9  to 13, 2023, 25 experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region will participate in the study of this unique area that extends through as many as seven units of local self-government in the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of BiH. The purpose of the research is to provide relevant and reliable information about biological diversity that will serve as a basis for the permanent protection and sustainable management of the natural resources of the Ozren Mountain.
