This is the exhibition that “Gallery 17″ will offer as a unique perspective about the identity of the region, on January 22, curated by Tevž Logar.
Through the lens of three captivating stories by invited artists – Jošt Franko, Blerta Hashani, and Mila Panić – the exhibition explores the interaction between observation and imagination”, revealing themes of identity, environment, and shared histories.
Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore how landscapes transcend being mere visual representations, transforming into powerful narratives of cultural, social, and political significance. This exhibition serves as a call to engage with art, as enthusiasts believe that through it, “we rewrite our connection to the spaces around us.”
Previously, “Gallery 17” has initiated similar endeavors, such as the Pop-up Art Week held in December 2024, featuring four exhibitions by renowned curators. These included “250°C” by Kemil Bekteši, “Man of the Castle” by Blerta Kambo, “A Silent Scream is a Yawn” by Manushaqe Ibrahimi, and “50 Miles North of Tirana Airport” by Ornela Alia.
Seventeen has a vision that its citizens of all genders to participate and contribute meaningfully and freely in the community and public life through culture, education and activism. Its mission is to drive change positive in society through the empowerment of communities through through our Arts and Education, Cultural Activism and Space programs.
