Improving the security and sustainability of CSOs in Montenegro through ensuring psychological safety and workplace security

Summary of the project implemented by CAZAS

The project “Improving the Security and Sustainability of CSOs in Montenegro through Ensuring Psychological Safety and Workplace Security” aims to enhance the operational framework, knowledge, capacities, and awareness of decision-makers and CSOs regarding psychological safety in the workplace. The project seeks to improve policies, mechanisms, and techniques for ensuring psychological safety at work, as well as to educate and empower leaders to integrate the concept of psychological safety within CSOs.

Project goals

General Objective: Contributing to the strengthening of the capacities and sustainability of CSOs in Montenegro by improving policies and systems for ensuring psychological safety and workplace security.

Specific Objectives:

  • Enhancing the operational framework, knowledge, and awareness of decision-makers and CSOs through advocacy for the concept of psychological safety in the workplace.
  • Strengthening the capacities of CSO leaders on policies, mechanisms, and techniques for ensuring psychological safety in the workplace.

Beneficiaries

Target Group: The project’s target group includes CSO leaders in Montenegro, CSO staff, civic activists, decision-makers, media representatives, and the public in Montenegro. Through the implementation of project activities: at least 10 decision-makers and 10 CSOs will be informed about psychological safety, at least 10 CSO leaders will participate in a three-day training on applying the concept of psychological safety in the workplace, with at least 50% of them improving their knowledge and skills in this area. Three CSOs will successfully complete a mentorship support program, during which they will integrate the concept of psychological safety into their work. Finally, through a campaign and media actions, at least 10,000 citizens will be informed, and their awareness of psychological safety will be raise.

Main activities

  • Conducting a policy analysis and a survey among CSOs in Montenegro on levels of psychological safety, stress, and workplace risks.
  • Organizing an advocacy and planning event for decision-makers and CSOs.
  • Implementing a promotional campaign to raise awareness of psychological safety and security, as well as to promote best practices for mental health preservation in the civil sector.
  • Providing training for CSO leaders on policies, mechanisms, and techniques for ensuring psychological safety in the workplace.
  • Implementing a mentorship support program for three CSOs to establish the concept of psychological safety and security.
