Open Day GRAD

GRAD Open Day

On May 25, the GRAD activist center hosted its first-ever Open Day, inviting the citizens of Smederevo to explore the center and learn about the myriad opportunities it offers. This initiative addressed a clear need to bridge the gap between local activism and community engagement.

During the event, visitors engaged in meaningful conversations with GRAD volunteers and team members about pressing social issues and upcoming projects. This open dialogue not only fostered a sense of community but also highlighted the essential role of civic engagement in driving positive change. Many attendees left with a deeper understanding of GRAD’s initiatives and expressed genuine interest in participating in future projects, demonstrating the event’s success in enhancing community ties.

Ms.Marjanović, a member of the GRAD team, reflected on the impact of the Open Day: “This event has been unique in our city, providing citizens with the opportunity to see firsthand what a citizen association does and how our activities are organized.” The event effectively strengthened the bonds between activists and residents, showcasing the importance of collaboration in addressing societal challenges.

The GRAD Open Day has laid a strong foundation for future collaboration, encouraging ongoing community involvement and ensuring that citizens feel empowered to contribute to the collective effort. By actively engaging with the community, the organization continues to focus on fostering an informed and engaged community, empowering every individual to contribute to a brighter future.
