Beneficiaries

General audience (BiH, region and diaspora) – BUKA provides timely and accurate reporting on issues relevant for general public and holds the public and government officials accountable

Journalists – CID’s activities are often aimed at the journalistic community with the objective of promoting reporting in public interest, activist stance and high ethical standards among fellow journalists.

Civil society organizations – Buka reports on actions taken by civic activists, in particular environmental and human rights activists, workers fighting for their rights etc. A significant portion of content on Buka web portal is dedicated to promoting civic activists, thus contributing to their visibility and enabling them to voice their issues, which then contributes to the achievement of their goals. Furthermore, CID periodically provides training for civic activists on how to use digital media to achieve more publicity and gain wider support for their actions. We partner with other CSOs with whom we share common values.

Decision makers – BUKA uses its media influence to push for systemic changes on matters of public interest by raising awareness about social issues and by practicing solution-based journalism.
