Vetting in the Montenegrin Judiciary
Within the project “Justice Reform for the Rule of Law” the Human Rights Action (HRA) is organizing the conference on judiciary vetting scheduled for September 24th, 2024, in Podgorica.
The event will be organized in two panels – the first one on the possible vetting process in Montenegro along with presentation of the results of research on the perception of corruption by actors in the judiciary and the second one on comparative experience of vetting.
The conference aims to gather and analyze insights on judicial corruption and external influences, drawing on experiences from Albania and Moldova to inform potential vetting processes in Montenegro. The event will bring together around 50 participants, including government officials, embassy representatives, and experts from Moldova and Albania, international organizations and NGOs.
