National Forum on Skills Development and Future Skill Needs in the Agri-Food Sector
As a key initiative of the SMART LABOR project, CREDI is hosting an event centered on enhancing digital skills in the Western Balkan agri-food sector. This event will be organized on September 16, 2024 at the Hotel Hollywood, dr. Mustafe Pintola 23, Sarajevo.
The agri-food sector is rapidly evolving due to advancements in digital technologies, offering new opportunities and challenges. The event, organized by the SMARTLABOUR project, seeks to address the challenges and opportunities in the digitalization of the agri-food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the broader Western Balkans region.
The AGENDA includes insightful sessions on digital transformation in agriculture, with a particular focus on overcoming challenges related to the EU integration of the Western Balkans’ agri-food sector. The event will feature regional experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from academia, business, and civil society organizations, fostering collaboration through a multi-stakeholder approach.
Key sessions will include:
- A meet-up of consortium members to discuss project objectives
- A panel on how the agri-food sector in the Western Balkans can navigate its integration with the EU
- Regional best practices in digital agriculture, with participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Serbia
The event will conclude with strategic recommendations for advancing digital skills in the agri-food sector, aiming to create a sustainable roadmap for collaboration across the region.
This event is part of the SMART Balkans regional “SMARTLABOR” project, led by the Public Policy Research Center (CENTER) from Serbia, with partners including the Centre for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and IMPETUS from North Macedonia.
