SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans

The Institute for Democracy and Mediation organizes Agreements signing ceremony with the awarded organizations of the first round for applications for Local Initiatives, Media Grants and Creative Box, within the SMART Balkans regional project. The ceremony will take place on April 20, 2023, starting at 10:00, in the premises of Tirana International Hotel, Onufri Hall.

The SMART Balkans founded by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a duration of 4 years and a total value of over 17 million Euros.

Through the grant scheme, 450 grants will be distributed to civil society organizations, media and informal groups in the Western Balkans region. In this Public Call for Applications in Albania have applied 141 civil society organizations, informal groups and media companies and at the end of the evaluation process of these applications, we are enthusiastic to officially start the cooperation with the 13 winning organizations.
