On 3 September 2024, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce – Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade and the Public Policy Research Center/Re:People organized a meeting with experts in the agrifood sector from the industry, businesses and academia.
In a lively discussion, the participants shared their views about the state of affairs in Serbia’s agriculture, and the application of biotech and digital technologies among individual producers and smart farms. The renowned professionals who have comprehensive insights into the Serbian agri-food scene, discussed the challenges and opportunities presented by advancement of digitalization into the Serbian agri-food sector and offered their thoughts and recommendations as to how this process may be supported efficiently.
Branka Andjelkovic, Programme Director of the Public Policy Research Center/Re:People stated the meeting was a continuation of a successful cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on the project ‘SMARTLABOR – Strengthening Alliances for Policy Development and Testing in the domain of Innovation, Digitalization, and the Labour Market in the Western Balkans“.
